This apartment receives its name in homage to the emblematic sculptor from San Sebastian Eduardo Chillida, whose famous work is located about 300 meters from the apartment. Due to its location on the side of the beautiful Bay of the Concha, "the comb of the Wind" is a must.
It is an exclusive apartment located a step away from the Ondarreta Beach, which enjoys the most local atmosphere out of the three beaches of San Sebastian. Also, it is likely to be the most beautiful among all them all.
Although there are all kinds of services and shops in the Antiguo neighborhood, the area is perfectly connected by buses, if you want to go to the city center or the Old Town. However, if you are not in a hurry, the best option is to walk enjoying the beautiful twenty-minute walk, all along the Bahía de la Concha.
The apartment has been completely renovated and decorated to the detail and has a large terrace facing south, which surrounds the entire facade of the house. The terrace has a dining table, hammocks and electric awnings.
All the rooms of the apartment, except the bathrooms have large windows with direct access to the terrace. The interior of the apartment consists of a beautiful and spacious living room, a large kitchen perfectly equipped with all kinds of utensils, appliances and a nice table with benches for breakfast.
This apartment has four beautiful and spacious double rooms, the main one with en-suite bathroom, plus two other full bathrooms.
In addition, the apartment has a closed parking space in the same building with capacity for two cars, provided they are not very large. About the area
Donostia-San Sebastian, often simply referred to as San Sebastian, is a coastal city in the Basque Country of northern Spain, renowned for its stunning beaches, exquisite cuisine, and vibrant cultural scene. This picturesque city, with its blend of natural beauty and urban sophistication, is a gem that beckons travelers from around the world.
The city's most famous beach, La Concha, is a crescent of fine golden sand that stretches along a bay bordered by lush hills. It's a perfect spot for sunbathing, swimming, and enjoying water sports, with its scenic promenade offering a delightful route for a leisurely stroll or bike ride. For those seeking a more active beach experience, the surfers' haven of Zurriola Beach is just a short walk away.
San Sebastian is a culinary paradise, boasting more Michelin stars per capita than almost any other city on the planet. Its Old Town, or Parte Vieja, is a maze of narrow streets lined with bars and restaurants serving pintxos, the Basque version of tapas, which are considered an art form here. A pintxos crawl, hopping from bar to bar to sample these delicious bites, is an essential San Sebastian experience.
Cultural offerings abound in San Sebastian, with events like the prestigious San Sebastian International Film Festival drawing cinema enthusiasts each year. The city is also home to the Kursaal Congress Centre and Auditorium, a striking piece of contemporary architecture that hosts a variety of performances and events.
For a panoramic view of the city and its surroundings, visitors can ascend to the top of Monte Igueldo via a vintage funicular. At the summit, not only are the views breathtaking, but there's also an old-fashioned amusement park that adds a touch of whimsy to the experience.
San Sebastian's charm extends to its historical landmarks, such as the Basilica of Saint Mary of the Chorus and the San Telmo Museoa, which delves into Basque society and culture. The city's love for tradition is palpable in its festivals, including the Tamborrada, where the entire city comes alive to the sound of drums.
With its combination of natural beauty, world-class gastronomy, cultural richness, and friendly atmosphere, San Sebastian is a destination that offers a truly immersive travel experience. Whether indulging in the local cuisine, lounging on the beach, or exploring the city's cultural heritage, visitors to San Sebastian are sure to create memories that will last a lifetime.
